TWO NEW, EXCLUSIVE TREATMENTS FOR 'SALONE DEL MOBILE' FURNITURE EXHIBITION

Two new, unique proposals for "made in Italy" products finishing. After Ruthenyum (a prime finishing process for the metal parts of top-prestige padded furnishing products), the marketplace sought out a more marked black, even more similar to the black nickel of some years ago. However, the problem with black nickel lay precisely in the fact that surface oxidation had to be 'fixed' and protected via a later transparent coating stage. It was therefore a question of surface hardness and durability, the delicate nature of the treatment, and iridescence due to diffraction of light caused by the transparent coating layer.... These problems have all been solved with Ruthenyum. Less dark, this treatment makes for a much brighter, mirrored finish for black nickel. The Northern Europe market acted as a stimulant when it called for further progress in the direction of bright black chrome. Some operators revived obsolete black nickel or tried to meet market demand with tin.

WE CHOSE ANOTHER PATH: we firmly believe the marketplace deserves only solutions of quality and excellence. The old gun-metal is now produced without transparent protective coating (in any case, the coating may be provided as an option). CARBONIO is well and truly black chrome plating. While dark, it came about as a FULL METAL treatment, with the hardness and resistance of traditional chrome plating, and as an optimal solution to be preferred, also, to tin-based finishings.

ANTRACITE is the satin-finish solution we offer to the marketplace (dark burnished, velvety touch...). We encourage creativity in architects and designers in providing solutions for prime quality leather and hides, combining their design solutions with this new, exclusive tri-layer ecological Plating Technology.
